If you're looking for an egg-stra-special Easter this year, then look no further as The Petersham Restaurant is celebrating in epic style with its spectacular and unique giant chocolate Easter egg!
Expertly created over two days by The Petersham's talented head-chef, Jean-Didier Gouges, the enormous egg is entirely edible using over 8kg of dark chocolate. With its magnificent height of 90cm, the giant egg will take centre stage in the restaurant across the long weekend, where guests can admire the craftmanship and creativity, whilst enjoying a delectable three-course lunch - including a show-stopping Easter egg themed dessert!
Using the finest seasonal produce, the Easter menu features an array of indulgent dishes that have been especially designed by the restaurant's head chef, Jean-Didier Gouges, for the occasion. Highlights include, Ham hock and pea terrine, pickled quail egg, beetroot and Roast leg of Dorset lamb, cabbage, carrots, parsnips and French beans, as well as the playful Easter themed dessert, a white chocolate and raspberry mousse Easter ‘egg’ with pastry nest and edible chocolate soil.
With the stunning backdrop of the giant Easter egg as well as floor-to-ceiling views of the River Thames and surrounding Meadows, The Petersham Restaurant offers the perfect setting for that unforgettable Easter experience.
The Petersham's giant chocolate Easter egg will be displayed in the restaurant during lunch only from 19th -22nd April.
